This article analyzes the distinctive characteristics of the professional profile of a modern pre-service English language teacher. Based on current scientific sources and contemporary educational approaches, it is argued that 21st-century English language teachers must acquire competencies such as linguistic knowledge, research skills, intercultural awareness, and reflective practice. Furthermore, the professional profile of future teachers should encompass not only pedagogical knowledge but also personal qualities such as digital literacy, creativity, communication skills, and adaptability.
