The article presents a number of studies by our country and Russian historians on the history of the Karakalpaks in the 18th-19th centuries. They emphasize that there are very few sources on the early history of the Karakalpaks, and some sources contain many inaccuracies. It also reflects the socio-economic life of the Karakalpaks, their difficult lifestyle under excessive taxation and uprisings. These studies serve as an indispensable source for any researcher conducting research on this period.
