Annotatsiya

This article examines the key factors affecting border security in the Central Asian region, existing challenges, and possible solutions. It highlights the policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan concerning the delimitation and demarcation of state borders with neighboring countries, potential border disputes, and factors threatening regional security. The article also addresses major security challenges, including illegal migration, terrorism, illicit trafficking in drugs and weapons, and issues related to the use of water and land resources. Furthermore, it proposes measures to strengthen border security through the development of cross-border cooperation, the wider use of modern information and communication technologies, enhanced coordination among law enforcement agencies, and improvements in the professional competence of border guard personnel.
