Annotatsiya

Using Mingtepa as a case study, the article identifies source-critical criteria for preparing archaeological heritage for tourist presentation. Regulatory documents, dissertation materials, and scientific publications were analyzed using the historical-comparative method. The evidentiary functions of registry records, excavation findings, scientific reconstruction, and historical identification were distinguished. The interrelationship between research, conservation, and exhibition objectives established in Resolution No. 1059 of 2018 was demonstrated. Criteria for a source documentation map for tourist presentation were proposed. The study substantiates that tourism readiness cannot be equated with the number of sites.
