This article examines the issues of formation and development of metacognitive activity among primary school students, which have become particularly important in the modern world. Metacognitive processes such as planning, monitoring, evaluation, and regulation of one’s own learning activity enable students to approach learning consciously, increase its effectiveness, and adapt to changing conditions. The article also highlights that the use of digital technologies in the educational process provides new opportunities for developing these skills, making learning more interactive, motivating, and personalized.
