This article examines the differences and similarities in the relationship between common words of the general language and terms related to the national economy, science, and technology, as well as their specific fields. It also addresses the relationship of doublet terms, which belong to a system of lexical units that share a common denotative basis. Linguistic terms serve as illustrative material for the article.
