This article focuses on the problems of Uzbek linguistics, particularly the equonym and equonymic, hyperonym and hyperonymic, hyponym and hyponymic relationships inherent in the system of language levels and their units, and their application in the lexicology of Uzbek linguistics. The terms "equonym" and "equonymy" are relatively new lexical units in the system of linguistic terminology. Consequently, these terms are not recorded in current scientific and lexicographic sources on linguistics. Although the linguistic concept represented by the terms "equonym" and "equonymy" is related to the linguistic concepts denoted by the terms polysemy, homonymy, synonymy, antonymy, and hyponymy, it has not yet been officially widely adopted in linguistics, especially in Uzbek linguistics.
