Annotatsiya

This article examines the relationship between the word and the concept it expresses, highlighting their simultaneous emergence and the role of language in abstraction and generalization. The analysis draws on the theory of reflection, Ferdinand de Saussure’s structuralist perspective, and subsequent critiques of the arbitrariness of the linguistic sign. It argues that words serve as vehicles for categorizing, generalizing, and transmitting complex ideas, while their form and meaning are shaped not only by convention but also by historical, cultural, and symbolic factors.
