The article examines selected aspects of the essence and content of the limits of judicial proceedings as an important institution of criminal procedure. It provides a separate theoretical analysis, practice-oriented conclusions, and an independent assessment of contemporary issues concerning the limits of judicial proceedings. The work analyzes issues related to the functions of the court in the administration of justice, the legal significance of charges brought by preliminary investigation bodies, the court’s authority to modify charges, and the implementation of constitutional guarantees of human rights during judicial proceedings.
