This article analyzes the archaeological exhibitions of the State Museum of Cultural History of Uzbekistan based on modern principles of international museology. The findings indicate that the museum largely retains an outdated chronological-typological approach to displaying artifacts, which does not fully reveal their archaeological context and socio-historical significance. The paper proposes scientifically grounded recommendations for modernizing the exhibitions, specifically through contextualization, linking artifacts to their original stratigraphy and historical complexes, introducing archaeological reconstructions, adopting digital technologies, and implementing targeted lighting systems.
