Annotatsiya

This article analyzes the system of civic education in Ancient Greece. The study employs methods of source analysis, historical contextualization, and historical empathy to identify the main areas of the Greek educational system—moral and aesthetic education, military training, and the educational significance of the Olympic Games. The research also addresses issues of civic competencies, global culture, preservation of cultural heritage, and sustainable development in light of the requirements of CIS, Cognia, the UN, and UNESCO. The findings indicate that civic education in Ancient Greece aimed to cultivate disciplined, spiritually mature, and globally minded citizens.
