This article discusses the socio-economic relations of the Bukhara Emirate, including the city of Samarkand in the early XIX century, the development of handicrafts in Samarkand, one of the largest centers of handicrafts in trade in Central Asia. It is possible to describe the change in trade relations with Russia. In the first half of the XIX th century, Samarkand was a major trade center, where people of different nationalities took an active part in trade.
