This article examines the development and importance of the international hotel system in the context of globalization. The problem of tougher competition in the national hotel market, due to the expansion of international hotel chains, is analyzed. A foreign tourist is likely to give preference to a network already known to him. Therefore, the development of international hotel chains can serve to increase the attractiveness of tourism development in our country. The current scale of the hotel system in the economy is analyzed. In addition, possible recommendations were presented regarding the role of the international hotel system in the development of tourism and its prospects for development in our country.
