The article provides a historical analysis of measures aimed at restoring agriculture and increasing labor productivity in Uzbekistan during the post-war period of 1946–1953 within the framework of agrarian policy. The study examines resolutions of the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) and the Council of People’s Commissars of the USSR, the objectives of the Fourth Five-Year Plan, issues of labor organization in collective and state farms, socialist competitions, the activities of Machine and Tractor Stations (MTS), as well as the system of incentives for mechanizers. In conclusion, the real economic effectiveness of agrarian policy implemented under conditions of centralized governance is critically assessed, substantiating the finding that it failed to exert a sufficient influence on the sustainable improvement of labor quality and the living standards of rural workers.
