This article analyzes issues related to witness competence in criminal proceedings. Particular emphasis is placed on the concept of witness competence, the involvement of individuals with mental or physical disabilities as witnesses in criminal cases, and matters pertaining to evidentiary activities. The article examines both national and foreign legislation, as well as the opinions of scholars on these subjects.
