The authors note that the analysis of data from global and domestic practice confirms that the increase in the prevalence of obesity worldwide, including in Uzbekistan, leads to an increase in the number of bariatric interventions. However, long-term treatment outcomes, especially the PNMT problem, remain insufficiently studied and poorly predictable. The authors conclude that, thus, addressing the problem of PNMT after bariatric surgeries requires a multidisciplinary approach, a combination of modern diagnostic methods, conservative and surgical therapy, as well as consideration of regional characteristics. This will increase the effectiveness of treatment, reduce the risk of recurrence, and improve the quality of life of patients.
