Contractures of the knee joint represent one of the most frequent and functionally significant complications after injuries, surgeries, and inflammatory diseases of the musculoskeletal system. The article examines modern approaches to the rehabilitation of knee joint contractures of various origins. The main methods of restoring the range of motion are presented, including physical therapy, mechanotherapy, massage, and the use of physiotherapeutic procedures. Special attention is paid to the stages of rehabilitation and the importance of an individual approach to each patient. The effectiveness of early intervention and comprehensive programs aimed at preventing relapse and improving the quality of life of patients is emphasized. The article summarizes data from scientific studies of the last 5 years confirming the effectiveness of a multidisciplinary approach in restoring the function of the knee joint after contractures.
