The authors report that bariatric surgery in individuals with any degree of obesity is recognized worldwide as the most effective intervention for reducing body weight and hyperglycemia. However, the course of the early postoperative period is often overshadowed by the development of postoperative complications, incl. "adductor loop syndrome". The authors conclude that the developed modified method of laparoscopic mini-gastrobypass surgery is a reliable measure for the prevention of adductor loop syndrome, which can be recommended for wide clinical use.
