In this article, the factors ensuring the synthesis of vitamin D in the body of athletes of various specializations are investigated, genetic polymorphisms and markers of vitamin D in blood plasma are compared depending on the influence of the availability of sunlight in the training process. Genetic analyses provided significant data on the effects of VDR gene polymorphisms (Fokl and BsmI) on human health. These results can serve as a basis for future research on the early detection of diseases and the adoption ofpreventive measures.
