The article analyzes the lexico-semantic variants and nominative productivity of English somatic slang based on the author’s card index. It compares three types of relationships between standard and slang meanings, forty semantic directions, and the ten most productive somatic bases. Terms denoting the head and face, as well as the bases skin, hand, head, and bone, demonstrate the highest productivity in secondary nomination.
