The article develops an integrative comparative model for describing three English logistics document genres: the commercial contract, the invoice and the bill of lading. The study is grounded in genre theory, professional discourse analysis, legal pragmatics and the semantic standardisation of digital trade documents. International institutional standards and recurrent authentic formulas are analysed through comparative, contextual-semantic, structural-compositional and pragmatic methods. The findings show that the three documents form a single operational chain but perform unequal institutional actions. The contract constructs the normative framework of a transaction; the invoice converts the agreed transaction into a quantified payment claim; and the bill of lading records the transport status of the cargo and, in negotiable form, supports the transfer or exercise of rights over the goods. Five genre invariants are identified: institutional purpose, participant roles, recurrent compositional blocks, specialised lexical-grammatical patterns, and authentication/data fields. A six-layer pragmatic model and a matrix of interdocumentary referential invariants are proposed. The results demonstrate that linguistic quality in logistics documentation cannot be reduced to grammatical correctness: terminology, deontic agency, dates, quantities, locations, currency, document identifiers and digital data fields must preserve a consistent reference across the document chain. The proposed model is applicable to comparative linguistics, translation, corpus-based analysis and linguistic review of trade documentation
