This article considered gender-specific patterns of evaluative language in English discourse within the framework of Appraisal Theory. The study examined the distribution of Affect, Judgment, and Appreciation categories in corpus-based materials. It was found that evaluative expressions differ according to gender representation in discourse. It was established that male referents are more frequently associated with Judgment resources related to competence and social status, while female referents are commonly linked with Appreciation and emotional evaluation. The impact of gender stereotypes on linguistic evaluation was assessed. The regularities of evaluative language use in fiction, news, and conversational texts were characterized through quantitative and qualitative corpus analysis.
