Annotatsiya

The article examines the associative-semantic structure and axiological interpretation of the concept of death in Uzbek linguistic consciousness. The study is based on materials from a free associative experiment conducted among Uzbek female and male respondents aged 18-45. It analyzes the recurrence of responses to the Uzbek stimulus word o‘lim (“death”), the nuclear and peripheral units of the associative field, semantic relations, and the evaluative criteria manifested within the structure of the concept. The article considers the formation of representations of death in linguistic consciousness in relation to individual experience, religious-philosophical understanding, social experience, and national-cultural memory.
