This scientific article provides a comprehensive analysis of the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies on linguistic competence components in the process of teaching English, existing problems and strategies for their elimination. The capabilities and limitations of AI tools within the lexical, grammatical, phonetic and pragmatic components of linguistic competence were studied. The results of the study showed that AI technologies play an important role in developing students' language competence, but there are methodological, technical and linguistic problems. Scientifically based strategies have been developed to overcome these problems.
