Annotatsiya

This article examines the speech behavior of female protagonists in the works of Montgomery and Alcott from the perspective of politeness strategies. The study focuses on the influence of social class on linguistic choices and communicative patterns. It argues that the social status of the characters plays a significant role in shaping their interactional strategies and verbal behavior. Furthermore, the research analyzes the linguistic and pragmatic means through which gender and social distinctions are represented in literary discourse. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the relationship between language, society, and identity in fiction.
