Climatic phenomena are most often revealed in relation to psychological realism and the social environment. In Russian classical literature, they sometimes also serve to reveal social tension and dramatism. From this perspective, the present article analyzes the representation of climatic phenomena in lyrical works. In poetry, such phenomena sometimes express joyful states, while at other times they convey inner pain and the contradictions between the world and the individual. Based on the analysis of selected lyrical works, it is shown that the change of seasons, rainfall, and sunrise are not merely natural events, but poetic expressions of the inner experiences of the lyrical hero.
