This study investigates the lexical representation of the FAMILY concept in Jane Austen’s Persuasion, focusing on nineteenth-century English family structures. Using a field-based approach, the research identifies core, near-core, and peripheral lexical units, including father, mother, sister, brother, husband, wife, and others. The analysis reveals how patriarchal authority, gender roles, emotional ties, and moral obligations are encoded through language. Quantitative frequency data and qualitative discussion show the interplay of social hierarchy, emotional interdependence, and cultural values within the conceptualization of FAMILY. The findings contribute to cognitive linguistics, literary interpretation, and linguocultural studies
