In recent years, interest in the topic of intertextuality has increased significantly in the field of linguistics, and various aspects of this phenomenon are being studied in global scholarship. This article addresses one of the topical issues within the framework of the anthropocentric paradigm, focusing on the linguocultural aspects of intertextual units. The paper provides a comprehensive discussion of the phenomenon of intertextuality. Intertextual units in the novels “Yol” and “Sabo and Samandar” by Ulugbek Hamdam are analyzed from a linguocultural perspective as universal and national-cultural intertexts. The study outlines the common features and differences between universal and national-cultural intertexts and discusses the specific characteristics of the intertexts used by Ulugbek Hamdam.
