This article analyzes the formation and stages of development of the crime theme in Uzbek literature. The artistic interpretation of crime, justice, and humanity is examined through examples drawn from historical sources and modern literary works. Social conflicts in nineteenth- and twentieth-century literature, representations of criminal figures under conditions of Soviet-era censorship, and reflections on issues of crime and moral crisis in the post-independence period are analyzed on a scholarly basis. The study aims to reveal the aesthetic, social, and spiritual essence of the crime genre in Uzbek literature.
