This article is devoted to the study of the poetics of individual style, which is regarded as one of the important areas of research in modern literary studies. The paper analyzes the role of the biographical method in revealing a writer’s individual style and artistic mastery in contemporary Uzbek prose, as well as the significance of the author’s perspective in shaping a literary character. The works of Erkin A’zam, one of the leading representatives of modern Uzbek prose, are selected as the object of analysis and are examined from the standpoint of the poetics of individual style.
