This article examines the theoretical foundations, structural features, and functional characteristics of relative clauses (al-jumlah al-mawṣūlah) in the Arabic language. The syntactic roles of relative pronouns (ism al-mawṣūl) and resumptive pronouns (ḍamīr ʿāʾid) are analyzed and compared with Uzbek attributive subordinate clauses. The study is based on examples taken from classical Arabic sources, particularly the Surahs Al-Baqarah and Aal-Imran of the Holy Qur’an, where attributive subordinate clauses are identified and analyzed. The results demonstrate that the usage of relative clauses in the Qur’anic text fully corresponds to established grammatical rules of Arabic syntax.
