This article presents a comparative analysis of the lexical and semantic features of biotechnology terminology in English and Uzbek. The study examines the semantic structure of biotechnology terms, issues of terminological precision, polysemy, and semantic extension. Special attention is paid to the sources of term formation, including international scientific vocabulary and language-specific lexical resources. The findings of the research contribute to a deeper understanding of the role of biotechnology terminology within the linguistic system and its functional significance in scientific communication.
