In this article, the linguistic nature of the category of locativity in English and Uzbek was studied in comparison using distributive and transformational methods. Within the framework of the study, the semantic, syntactic, and morphosyntactic features of locative units were determined, and the commonalities and differences between the two languages were scientifically analyzed. The obtained results showed the universal and typological aspects of the category of locativity.
