This article analyzes the issue of syntactic comparison from the perspective of modern linguistics. In the course of the research, the theoretical foundations, methodological approaches, and basic principles of the comparative study of syntactic units are identified. Analysis conducted on the basis of structural, functional, and typological methods demonstrates the place and scientific significance of syntactic comparison in the language system. The research results make it possible to draw important scientific conclusions for comparative linguistics and applied language research.
