This article examines the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in designing curriculum materials and supporting teachers’ methodological work. Based on an analysis of international research and adaptive learning platforms, the study identifies key AI functions: personalized learning, automation of instructional material development, continuous content updating, learning analytics, and the generation of tasks and assessments. The findings demonstrate that AI enhances the effectiveness of teaching and improves the quality of learning. However, several limitations were identified, including the lack of pedagogical context, dependence on data quality, risks of algorithmic bias, and the potential reduction of teacher autonomy. The study emphasizes that teachers remain central to the educational process, acting as mediators who ensure the pedagogical appropriateness of AI-generated decisions. The article concludes that hybrid models integrating AI with pedagogical design represent a promising direction for improving curriculum development and instructional quality.
