This article analyzes the mechanisms of formation of terminology related to artificial intelligence in the Uzbek language from linguistic, terminological, and functional perspectives. Due to the rapid development of artificial intelligence technologies, new terms are continuously entering the Uzbek language. The study examines the sources of these emerging terms, the methods of their formation, and the processes of their adaptation to the national terminological system. The research identifies and discusses the main mechanisms of term adoption, including calquing, transcription, transliteration, semantic extension, and word-formation models, illustrated with relevant examples. In addition, the article analyzes issues related to the localization of artificial intelligence terminology based on the internal linguistic resources of the Uzbek language, as well as problems associated with the normalization and standardization of these terms. The findings of the study contribute to enriching the Uzbek scientific language, systematizing artificial intelligence terminology, and developing practical recommendations for specialists and linguists working in this field.
