Annotatsiya

The translation of fantastic literature presents unique challenges, especially in terms of cultural adaptation. Unlike purely realistic works, fantastic texts create worlds that blend familiar and imaginary elements, often reflecting the author’s socio – cultural background. This article explores the key difficulties of cultural adaptation in the translation of fantastic works, focusing on Ray Bradbury’s “Fahrenheit 451” as a prime example. The discussion highlights how translators must balance fidelity to the original text with the target culture’s linguistic and cultural sensibilities.
