The article analyzes the causes for the spread of various infectious diseases within the territory of the Uzbek SSR during the Second World War and their impact on public health. It examines the widespread prevalence of diseases such as abdominal typhoid, typhus, malaria, tuberculosis, and scarlet fever, which resulted from a sharp increase in population, evacuation processes, food shortages, and problems in medical services during the war. Additionally, the preventive measures and sanitation work carried out by the state are analyzed.
