The article examines the problem of computer addiction among the adult population as a consequence of socio-psychological imbalance. Special attention is paid to the results of the conducted sociological research, personal observations, and social consequences of this phenomenon. Scientific and practical recommendations are developed at the individual, family, social, and state levels.
