The article analyzes the concept, necessity, and legal foundations of international cooperation in criminal proceedings. The author emphasizes that modern global threats, including cybercrime, human trafficking, and transnational organized crime, necessitate strengthened interstate cooperation. Furthermore, the article examines recent amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, United Nations conventions in this area, and issues related to harmonizing national legislation with international standards.
