This article examines the role of the motif of exposure in the composition and plot structure of English and Uzbek detective novels through a comparative analysis. The study is based on the works of A. Conan Doyle and Tohir Malik, focusing on the artistic representation of crime investigation, criminal exposure, and the restoration of justice. Particular attention is paid to the functions of the motif of exposure in plot development, character construction, and the achievement of artistic integrity within detective narratives. The research also highlights the national and cultural peculiarities of the motif of exposure in English and Uzbek detective literature.
