This article examines juvenile justice as a modern, humane, and effective model for protecting children’s rights. The relevance of the study is determined by the special legal status of minors, their need for enhanced protection and care, and the necessity of establishing a child-friendly justice system. The purpose of the article is to reveal the theoretical and legal foundations of juvenile justice, analyze international standards and foreign experience, and substantiate the need to introduce this institution in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The study analyzes the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Beijing Rules, the Riyadh Guidelines, and the principles of restorative justice. It also identifies current norms of Uzbekistan’s national legislation and their practical limitations. The scientific novelty lies in interpreting juvenile justice not as a punitive mechanism, but as a comprehensive system that combines rehabilitation, prevention, mediation, and the resocialization of minors. The findings demonstrate the need for specialized juvenile courts, trained professionals, and procedural safeguards adapted to children.
