This article examines digital addiction as a complex phenomenon studied simultaneously through philosophical and economic lenses. The aim is to identify the mechanisms underlying digital addiction and characterize its consequences for personal cognitive autonomy and economic behavior. The methodological framework combines philosophical analysis, systemic and comparative approaches, and the conceptual toolkit of behavioral economics. The findings demonstrate that digital addiction is a deliberate product of the engineering strategies of platform capitalism, distorting consumer rationality, stimulating impulsive consumption, and eroding human capital. The scientific novelty lies in integrating philosophical-anthropological and economic perspectives on digital addiction into a unified analytical model. The results may be applied to the development of national digital well-being strategies and digital literacy education programs.
