This article examines state and market mechanisms for securities market regulation from both theoretical and practical perspectives. Particular attention is paid to legal regulation, institutional supervision, licensing procedures, disclosure requirements, and investor protection mechanisms. The experiences of the United States and the United Kingdom are analyzed using a comparative legal approach, with emphasis on the interaction between governmental oversight and market institutions. Based on the findings, several recommendations are proposed for improving the regulatory framework of Uzbekistan’s securities market.
