The rapid development of artificial intelligence has opened new possibilities for improving the efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness of public administration. In this context, the use of AI by the executive branch of government has become an increasingly relevant issue in contemporary international law. This article examines whether executive authorities should integrate AI into governmental decision-making processes, focusing on both its potential benefits and legal risks. On the one hand, AI may support the executive branch by automating routine administrative tasks, processing large volumes of data, improving crisis response, and strengthening evidence-based policymaking. On the other hand, the use of AI in governance raises serious concerns related to algorithmic bias, lack of transparency, accountability gaps, data privacy, unemployment, and the possible weakening of human judgment in public decision-making. From an international legal perspective, the article argues that AI can be used by the executive branch only under strict legal and ethical safeguards. Particular attention should be paid to international human rights standards, principles of non-discrimination, due process, transparency, and state responsibility. The article emphasizes that AI should not replace human decision-makers but should function as a supportive tool within a framework of human oversight and institutional accountability. It concludes that the balanced use of AI in the executive branch is possible if states develop clear regulatory mechanisms, ensure algorithmic transparency, use diverse and unbiased training data, and maintain human responsibility for final governmental decisions.
