The article analyzes the activities of the Republic of Uzbekistan concerning the implementation of international intellectual property law in national legislation. The author examines the mechanisms and methods of incorporating international obligations into the domestic legal system, emphasizing the interaction between international and domestic law. Special attention is paid to the specific features of applying self-executing and non-self-executing treaties, as well as to the role of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan as the state body responsible for fulfilling obligations under WIPO and UPOV. The study reveals the absence of general provisions in Uzbekistan’s legislative practice requiring the implementation of ratified international treaties, except for rules recognizing the priority of international treaties. Based on the analysis, the author proposes specific amendments to the Regulations on the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan in order to grant it functions related to monitoring, control, and the consistent development of legislation in this field in line with modern trends.
