The following issues remain pertinent: a detailed elucidation of the properties of Uzbek folk belief sayings as a paremic genre; the identification of the socio-domestic reasons for the people's inclination toward the spirit of these sayings; a disclosure of the nature of the poetic elements that ensure structural stability in belief sayings; the definition of the system of images and the functions of artistic detail within Uzbek folk belief sayings; an analysis of the intonational, descriptive, and expressive devices in belief sayings; and the identification of the common and distinct aspects of traditional belief sayings compared to other Uzbek folk paremic genres such as blessings, curses, laments, spells, prayers, and maledictions.
