Given that the prevention of offenses related to domestic violence is one of today’s most pressing issues, strengthening existing legislation establishing criminal liability for this type of offense is crucial for ensuring stability in this area. This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the concept of domestic violence, recent amendments to national legislation in this field, and the object, objective side, subject, and subjective side of the relevant article of the Criminal Code. The study concludes by offering recommendations for the prevention of domestic violence.
