This article provides a historical, legal, and social analysis of the stages in the development of the social protection system for persons with disabilities in the Republic of Uzbekistan during the period 1991–2025. The study examines social protection mechanisms established in the early years of independence, state policies aimed at ensuring the rights of persons with disabilities, the implementation of international standards into national legislation, and the institutional reforms carried out in this field. Particular attention is paid to the ratification of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and its impact on the development of social policy in Uzbekistan. The findings of the study contribute to a better understanding of the evolution of the support system for persons with disabilities in the country and provide insights into its future development prospects.
