This article analyzes the theoretical and practical foundations of using cultural realia in teaching the Uzbek language to foreigners. It substantiates the necessity of teaching the language not only as a grammatical and lexical system but also as a cultural phenomenon. The study employed descriptive-analytical, comparative, and linguacultural methods. The effectiveness of tasks developed from authentic texts, audio-video materials, role-playing techniques, situational exercises, and comparative analysis is demonstrated. The results confirm that an educational model based on cultural realia is a significant factor in developing the communicative and cultural competence of foreign learners.
